The Hideaway Felt Cat Cave Bed is a round felt nest with a doorway your cat can slip through whenever they want some quiet time. Cats often look for small, enclosed spaces to rest, and this cave gives them a private spot that still sits neatly in a living room, bedroom or study.

Will my cat fit through the door? The opening is wide enough for most adult cats to walk in comfortably. The M size is about 50cm across, and the L size is about 60cm for larger cats or two cats who like to share. Worried it will sag over time? The felt walls hold their round shape, and the soft base is comfortable for long naps. Some colours have an extra hole on top that lets light in and gives curious cats a second spot to peek out from.

Choose light grey or dark grey, with or without the top hole (dark grey without the hole comes in L only). If your cat is unsure at first, place the cave near a spot they already nap in and drop a treat or toy inside. The cave is light enough to move to a sunny window by day and somewhere quieter at night. Larger sizes are made to order, so please allow extra delivery time.   • What is the difference between the sizes?

    M is about 50cm across and suits most cats. L is about 60cm and suits large cats such as Maine Coons or two small cats who like to share.

  • What does the top hole do?

    The versions with a hole in the top let your cat poke their head out to watch the room, and let more light and air in. The versions without a hole are darker and cosier for cats who prefer to hide completely.

  • How do I clean felt?

    Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry. Vacuum loose fur from the inside now and then. It is not designed for the washing machine.

  • Will it hold its shape?

    The felt is thick enough to stand up on its own. If it gets squashed in transit, stuff it with a towel for a day and it will open back out.

  • Why does it say made to order?

    The larger sizes are made when you order them, so they can take longer to arrive than our stocked items. Your tracking email will show the latest estimate.

  • Is shipping free on this item?

    Yes. Every Nested Pets order ships free across Australia with tracking, with no minimum spend. You will get a tracking number by email as soon as it leaves the warehouse.

  • What if it is not right for my pet?

    You have 30 days from delivery to return it. Change-of-mind returns need to be unused and in the original packaging, and you cover the postage back to us. If it arrives faulty or damaged we replace or refund it and cover the return shipping.
